Diggy Simmons Regains His Confidence On “It Is What It Is”

Diggy Simmons has been on hiatus for a couple of years. Ironically, before this, he had a thriving career with the teen market often featuring on tracks with the likes of Mindless Behaviour. After six years, the ‘Run’s House’ favourite returns with his comeback single titled “It Is What It Is”. The track is laced in Soul, Motown and Choir-themed soundscapes as Diggy drops some knowledge to the masses on self-confidence and growth as a human.

Speaking to The Breakfast Club last week, the rapper acknowledged his OCD and overthinking, which he stated led to his path of self-doubt. The single is strikingly mature and definitely carves a new lane for EMPIRE signee. Lyrically, Diggy remains consistent throughout the track and as a whole, the record sounds authentic to where he’s at now. Hopefully, the New-Yorker can re-gain the success which came effortlessly all those years ago.
